|Cross Of Lorraine Ring - Fleur Di Lis - Solid Sterling Silver
This is an Antique Style Heavyweight "Cross of Lorraine" ring. Please
be sure that you will be comfortable with a heavy ring.
Ring is Solid Sterling Silver. The emblems on the top and sides are
cast as part of the ring.. They Cannot fall out.
The ring top is approximately 9/16 inch on the wide part of the oval.
Finger Size 11 is pictured.
Ring top has a light Satin/Brushed Finish for contrast. Ring is Solid
Back design as shown in photos.
The "Cross of Lorraine" was believed to be first used on the Battle
Colors of Joan of Arc. It has since been used as the Symbol of many
Military Units including the U. S. Army's 79th Infantry Division (Known
as the Cross of Lorraine Division) during World War II. It is still used
today as part of the design for many French Army and French Foreign
Legion Units. It was recently popularized as the VietNam "Team Ring"
of Thomas Magnum's military unit on the series Magnum PI. (Tom
Selleck) It is one of the Universal Symbols of the "Warrior" and worn
by many Military Men, SOF and Soldiers For Hire around the world.
I am told that "This symbol is also the unofficial "Rescue" symbol. The
"cross" has another cross piece added to the first aid symbol and the
ends tipped with the shamrock symbol of firefighters (at least on the

Remember, this ring is Solid Sterling Silver, not some unidentified,
chrome plated, who knows what kind of material.
